Intra-Urban Trip Generation Factors in Developing World: A Study of Ogun State, Nigeria

Intra-urban travel is basic to urban residents. It occasioned by the need of residents carry out their activities in different places either necessity or choice. The magnitude trips generated depends on complex interaction socio-economic characteristics cities and those However, existing knowledge subject matter seems concentrate latter sheer neglect former. This study therefore examines factors intra-urban trip generation with emphasis centres as well based both secondary primary data from 14 selected state. Secondary 16 growth city were collected. These include population, industrial establishments, educational institutions, recreation sporting services, postal telecommunication health care services shopping services. Primary data, through questionnaire survey collected frequency. 2,100 completed questionnaires analysed for this study. Simple bivariate correlation multiple regression analyses employed examine relationships between generation. Similar also examination nature extent relationship generated.
